I have a setup which consists of this:

2 x Exchange 2007 SP1 CCR server installed on Windows 2008
1 x Exchange 2007 SP1 CAS server installed on Windows 2008
2 x Windows 2003 SP2 domain controllers where the 32 bit Exchange Management Tools is installed.

When I start the EMC from my Windows 2003 servers I get the below error message:

Solution:
I made a support case with Microsoft and after long time they confirmed that its bug in the communication between Windows 2003 and Windows 2008, and it seems to be related to IIS. The developers is working on fix for it.
I’ll keep you updated when i hear something new about this issue.

Joachim

Just have a small incident at a customer.
The customer was using an 32 bit application called Microsoft XAL which I have installed on a Windows 2008 x64 bit server TS Server.
The application uses a SQL database which is located on a remote server.
The program is connecting to the SQL server with an ODBC system DSN.
When I created and tested the System DSN on the server, then it connected to the SQL Server just fine, but the application couldn’t connect to the server.

After some time I found in the x64 bit version of Windows 2008 and Vista there is a 32bit ODBC Data Source Administrator which is I located in %systemroot%sysWOW64 and is called odbcad32.exe.When you run this version instead of the one from Administrative tools the you can create a 32 bit DSN which can be used by 32 bit programs.
