If you have ever seen the dialin page in Lync Server 2013, you might found that it looks terrible in its native format, and especially the formatting around the dial in numbers.

Below is an example (which actually looks okay)

But with a little change to the dialin page it’s actually possible to make it look nice.

So to change it navigate to:

C:Program FilesMicrosoft Lync Server 2013Web ComponentsDialin PageInt

On a Lync 2013 CU2 the conference.aspx file is located in the root of this folder (before that you can find it in client library).

Make a copy of the file (name it conference.aspx.old for example)

Edit the file in notepad.

Goto line 59:

<div class=”header”><img src=”/dialin/client/logo.png” id=”imgLogo” /></div>

Replace this line with these lines

<div class=”header” style=”width:180px”>

<img src=”/dialin/client/iss_logo.gif” id=”IssLogo”/>

<img src=”/dialin/client/logo.png” id=”imgLogo” />

</div>

On the second line is a customer logo – you can remove that line if you do not want that. You should also name the logo correct (the bold text).

Goto line 178 (or line 181 now)

<h2 id=”txtPhoneFormTitle”>Conference Dial-in Numbers</h2>

<table cellpadding=”0″ cellspacing=”0″ class=”numbers”>

    <tr><th class=”attribute” id=”txtPhoneFormRegion”>Region</th><th class=”attribute” id=”txtPhoneFormNumber”>Number</th><th class=”attribute” id=”txtPhoneFormLangs”>Available Languages</th></tr>

     <asp:Xml ID=”xmlPhoneList” runat=”server”></asp:Xml>

</table>

</div>

<div id=”dtmfCommandsForm”>

<h2 id=”txtDTMFCommandsFormTitle”>In Conference DTMF Controls</h2>

<table cellpadding=”0″ cellspacing=”0″ class=”commands”>

Replace all these lines with these:

<h2 id=”txtPhoneFormTitle” style=”margin-bottom: 0px;”>Conference Dial-in Numbers</h2>

<table cellpadding=”0″ cellspacing=”0″ class=”numbers” style=”text-align: Left;border-top:1px solid”>

    <tr><th class=”attribute” id=”txtPhoneFormRegion” width=”200px”>Region</th><th class=”attribute” id=”txtPhoneFormNumber” width=”200px”>Number</th><th class=”attribute” id=”txtPhoneFormLangs” width=”200px”>Available Languages</th></tr>

     <asp:Xml ID=”xmlPhoneList” runat=”server”></asp:Xml>

</table>

</div>

    <br />

<div id=”dtmfCommandsForm”>

<h2 id=”txtDTMFCommandsFormTitle” style=”margin-bottom: 0px;”>In Conference DTMF Controls</h2>

<table cellpadding=”0″ cellspacing=”0″ class=”commands” border-top-width: 1px; border-top-style: solid;>

Save the file with the same name (conference.aspx)

You should also copy these files to the EXT directory, which is the page that are external users see.

If you want a logo like the one I have, you should place that file in the client directory (also in the EXTclient)

So the new dial in page is now ready to be used – which is now easy to read.
