If you experience problems when you try to sign in to Lync Phone Edition, with this error:

“An account matching this phone number cannot be found. Please contact your support team.”


Then check the following:

  1. Are you signing with the right user – remember to sign in with the E.164 number (without +).
  2. Have you enabled the Lync options on your DHCP Server scope ? eg. Option 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 120 ? (run the dhcputil from the admintools to configure these)
  3. Have you enabled the DHCP on the Lync servers with set-CsRegistrarConfiguration -enabledhcpserver $true
  4. Have you enabled the NTP option on you DHCP Server scope (the phone needs to get the time from AD)

On my DHCP servers, I always create the Lync related options on the “Server Options”, so that I get these options on all my DHCP scopes.
